The Monument of Friendship is a collaboration between two schools - Friedrich - Dessauer - Schule from Limburg oraz Zespół Szkół Technicznych i Ogólnokształcących Nr 3 from Chorzów. Project was made by ca. 50 students and teachers from Germany and Poland.

Project activities comprised making the monument showing two persons, who are shaking their hands as a sign of friendship. Statue was made from corten steel and is equipped with electrical engine. The monument can also be controlled by a smartphone. This will be a symbol of connecting future with past, tradition with modernity.

The use of the innovative technologies allowed students to have direct contact with the newest tech inventions. It also allowed them to check if their practical knowledge is as good as theoretical. And, the most important part, the monument gave them possibility to use skills they have learned at schools in real life.
